How To Set Up Vonage Voicemail Greeting

Ready Voicemail and Greetings

Turn on voicemail, tape greetings, and set up other options such as your ring count or PIN. You can fifty-fifty choose to ship an MP3 audio file of your voicemail messages to email.

  • Super User and Administrators can set Voicemail options for all extensions on the account.

Set Voicemail
Enable Voicemail and Use Options

NOTE: Deleted voicemail messages cannot be recovered. To avoid losing messages, use the Transport Voicemail to Email selection to deliver an audio file of your bulletin to 1 or more electronic mail addresses.

In Admin Portal
(Super User / Administrator)

A user must be assigned to an extension to fix up Voicemail. See Add and Remove Users for details.

  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal.
  2. ClickPhone Arrangement and then clickExtensions.
  3. Hover over the extension you desire to manage and click thePencil icon.
  4. Click Voicemail,set options and then click Salve.
In Desktop App
(All User Types)
  1. Sign in to your Online Account.
  2. Click theAvatarAvatar  andthen clickS ettings.
  3. Click Voicemail,set options and then click Salvage.
Voicemail Options
Gear up Voicemail PIN Click Reset PIN. Enter a Pivot number between 4-x digits, so Confirm PIN to access your voicemail, and and so Relieve.
Voicemail Enabled Toggle voicemail on or off. If voicemail is disabled:
  • Calls ring the extension for the specified ring duration and then disconnect.
  • Calls immediately disconnect without ringing the extension when Do Not Disturb is enabled and Voicemail is disabled.
  • Voicemail Pivot cannot be set and voicemail letters cannot be retrieved.
Send to Voicemail After Set the number of rings before the call goes to voicemail.
Transport Voicemail to Email Enter one or more email addresses, separated by a comma, to receive an audio file of the voicemail bulletin by e-mail:
Confirm Send Voicemail to Email Verify that you want to send audio files to the specified email accost.
Delete Voicemail Afterward Sending Email Delete the voicemail from the Vonage Voicemail Arrangement after the attachment is sent.
NOTE: uninitialized@vonage.com automatically populates as the default email when an extension is added to your account.
Play Automated Voicemail Prompt Handling varies based on whether this selection is marked (turned ON) and a default or custom greeting is bachelor for Unavailable, Decorated, or Role Of Office greetings.

To avoid playing your default/custom message with an automated response, make sure this option is not marked (turned OFF).

Voicemail Prompt? Default/Custom Message? Caller Hears:
ON
Yes <Your Custom Greeting>.The person yous are trying to reach is unavailable. Leave your bulletin at the tone. Printing Pound when finished.
No The person you are trying to attain is unavailable. Go out your message at the tone. Press Pound when finished..
OFF Yes <Your Custom Greeting>.
No Leave your message at the tone. Printing Pound when finished.
Proper name Greeting Lets you record or upload your name, which is used in the Dial by Name directory for the Virtual Receptionist.

Unavailable Greeting Use the default message or record a custom message that plays when you lot are non available to pick up the phone call. Run into Play Automated Voicemail Prompt.

Exiting Voicemail Options Enables a caller to press 4 during the playing of the voicemail greeting to connect to an extension or outside number.

Note: Change your greeting to inform callers of this option, if you lot employ.
Set Number of Rings

The ring count specifies how many times the phone rings before a telephone call is directed to voicemail. Each ring is approximately five seconds long.

In Admin Portal (Super User /
Administrator)
  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal.
  2. ClickPhone System, then clickExtensions.
  3. Hover over the extension associated with your voicemail and click thePencil icon.
  4. Click Voicemail and get to Send To Voicemail Later.
  5. Set the number of rings, then click Save.
In Desktop App (Any User)
  1. Sign in to your Online Account.
  2. Click theAvatarAvatar , then clickDue south ettings.
  3. Click Call Forwarding.
  4. Mark the option for Send to Voicemail.
  5. Set the number of rings and and so click Save.
Change Voicemail Pin

Your Voicemail PIN is required to retrieve your messages. Voicemail must be enabled to gear up a Pivot.

Check Voicemail Messages

A message tin can be up to six minutes in length and stored for upwardly to 90 days per message.

NOTE: A maximum of v,000 messages per extension can be stored.

From Vonage Phone
  1. Printing the voicemail key on your telephone or dial *99 or *100.
  2. Enter your Voicemail Pivot.*
  3. Follow instructions to listen to Voicemail Messages, Record Greetings, or Change Voicemail Options. See Navigate Phone Keypad Options.

  1. Telephone call your Vonage phone number. (You can punch any Vonage Phone number on your account from a not-Vonage phone to access your voicemail. The phone number doesn't have to be assigned to the extension that you are attempting to check the messages for. We practise recommend calling your own number so that no i answers the telephone call.)
  2. Dial Star when your greeting starts to play.
  3. Punch your extension number and Voicemail PIN* as prompted.

If Using Call Forwarding (Follow Me or Simultaneous Ring)

From Email
  1. Verify the option forSend Voicemail to Electronic mailis enabled.
  2. Check the electronic mail address y'all specified to receive voicemail attachments.
  3. Open the email and click the .mp3 attachment to mind to the message.
